This week let's meet the Giangregorio family who have been proudly growing leafy greens on the Adelaide Plains for more than 50 years.
Meet Christine. Formerly a soil scientist, her passion for soil health led her to farming, viewing it as an opportunity to practice what she preaches. We asked her to share what she loves about the region and her vision for its future.

In collaboration with PIRSA, the Northern Adelaide Plains Food Cluster is pleased to introduce a new service for the Adelaide Plains Horticulture region. This service offers free on-farm pick-up for plastic chemical drums.
We’re excited to announce the commencement of our DrumMuster Program in the Northern Adelaide Plains region. In collaboration with a contractor, we will be collecting and safely disposing of chemical drums from properties that took part in the hailstorm clean-up program during 2021-22.
We chatted to Councillor Rebecca Vandepeear about her involvement in the Workforce Development Program and what outcomes she hopes to see as part of the program. Here's what she had to say:

Last week, the Northern Adelaide Plains Food Cluster had the privilege of attending the HortConnections conference in Adelaide. As one of the largest horticulture conferences in Australia and New Zealand, it brought together industry experts from around the world.
The Workforce Development Program is now up and running, and the recent inaugural meeting of the Steering Committee marks the exciting beginning of this initiative. This program aims to tackle employment barriers in the Northern Adelaide Plains region.
